Before a Solution Manager upgrade, how and why do you freeze the SLD?

To stop SLD data from drifting during the migration. Steps:

Set AutomaticSystemMove=1
Import the latest CR content / CIM model
Set Write Protection to Read-Only (revert to writable after the upgrade)
