Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-06-03 Last updated: 2026-06-03

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and 9537-9566 Québec Inc., a company registered in Québec, Canada ("KnowCard", "we", "us"), governing your use of the KnowCard mobile application and related services (together, the "App").

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

KnowCard is intended for adult learners. You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian) and legally able to enter into this agreement. The App is not directed to children.

2. The service

KnowCard provides flashcard-based study content across various fields and topics, with spaced-repetition scheduling and optional AI-generated explanations. We may add, change, or remove features, content, and plans at any time. We do not guarantee that any particular content or feature will always be available.

3. Your account

To use most features you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • providing accurate registration information;
  • keeping your login credentials confidential; and
  • all activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us at dev@fstechnologies.ai if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings) or by contacting us.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and renewals

KnowCard offers a free tier and paid subscriptions (for example, Pro and Pro+AI), available as monthly or annual plans, and may offer a free trial.

  • Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by us. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Free trials. If a plan includes a free trial, any unused portion of a trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and you are charged.
  • Managing and cancelling. You manage, change, or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings, not within the App. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Prices and changes. Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region and over time. We will give notice of material price changes as required by the applicable app store.
  • Refunds. Because purchases are handled by Apple or Google, refunds are subject to their policies. We do not separately process payments and generally cannot issue refunds directly.

5. License to use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App and access its content for your own personal, non-commercial study.

You may not:

  • copy, scrape, export, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or publicly display the content or any substantial part of it;
  • use the content to build, train, or improve any dataset, model, or competing product;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
  • circumvent or interfere with paywalls, access controls, rate limits, or security measures;
  • use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the App; or
  • use the App in any unlawful way or in violation of others' rights.

6. Intellectual property and content

All content in the App — including cards, explanations, text, design, and software — is owned by or licensed to the Company and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Cards are independently written and edited; they are not reproductions of any third-party textbook or course.

Product names, logos, and trademarks referenced in study content (for example, SAP, AWS, and other third-party names) are the property of their respective owners. KnowCard is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any such owner. Such names are used only for identification and educational reference.

7. AI-generated explanations (Pro+AI)

The Pro+AI feature generates explanations using a third-party AI model. AI output may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, and is provided for study assistance only. Do not rely on it as a sole source of truth. We are not liable for decisions you make based on AI-generated content.

8. Educational content disclaimer

KnowCard provides general educational content. It is not professional, legal, financial, medical, or certification advice, and it does not guarantee any exam result, certification, employment, or other outcome. Verify important information against authoritative primary sources.

9. Your feedback and submissions

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or reports about a card, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use them to operate and improve the App, without obligation or compensation to you. Do not submit anything you are not entitled to share.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, the Company and its directors, officers, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) CAD $50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or to protect the App, other users, or the Company. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

14. Apple App Store (applies to App downloaded from the App Store)

These Terms are between you and the Company only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App, and any claims relating to the App are governed by these Terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to applicable mandatory consumer-protection laws, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Québec.
