In ALE, what is the difference between an IDoc type and an IDoc?
Across different IDoc types, which parts of an IDoc keep an identical format everywhere, and which part varies by type and even by SAP release?
You configured a message type for change-pointer replication, but no IDocs are created when master data changes. What must be activated and scheduled?
Output-style messages (for example from creating an order) generate IDocs through SAP message control. Where do the pending entries sit, and what turns them into IDocs?
When you trigger a BAPI on a remote system through ALE, what decides whether it runs synchronously or asynchronously, and what must a synchronous method never do?
Each ALE partner needs an RFC destination of which connection type, and in a Central User Administration setup when do you also need the reverse-direction destinations?
You add a filter to a distribution model view to cut data volume. How does a filter on a message type differ from a filter on a BAPI?
After a client copy you fold the copy into the ALE group, but you must not just retype its logical system name. Which transaction converts it, and why does the rename have to be done this way?
You defined the logical system names in one client. Do you have to repeat that definition in every other client of the same system?
How should obsolete IDocs be removed from the database once they are no longer needed?
After generating partner profiles, how do you verify they are all internally consistent before going live?
An outbound IDoc shows it was passed to the port but the receiver never gets it and its status never advances. What transport is involved and which job finalizes the outbound status?
Two transactions restart failed inbound IDocs after you fix the root cause. When do you reach for BD87 versus BD73?
Inbound IDoc processing is starving your dialog users at peak load. Besides scheduling for low-load periods, what two infrastructure options spread the load?
When you set up an ALE connection, where do you define how the two systems physically communicate, and which channel types can you choose?
An inbound IDoc sits at status 51 while another shows 53. What does each mean and which one needs action?
What user type should the system-to-system RFC user used by ALE be, and why not an ordinary dialog user?
To inspect and edit one problematic IDoc's control, data and status records versus browse a filtered worklist of many IDocs, which transaction fits each?
You need to know right now whether a specific IDoc was processed on the receiver, without waiting for the audit job. What do you use instead of ALEAUD?
A team wants to upgrade the sending SAP system but leave the receiver on its current release for now. Does ALE distribution still work across the version gap, and where does that immunity end?
Where must the ALE distribution model (BD64) be maintained, and what is the easy-to-skip step after you edit it?
For a NEW integration on a modern stack, would you build on classic message-type distribution or BAPIs — and is the classic approach dead?
You enabled ALE auditing (ALEAUD) but the sender never receives processing-status confirmations. What two preconditions are most likely missing?
After saving and generating ALE partner profiles, the port is created automatically — except in one case. When must you NOT rely on the auto-generated port?
Which background report drives ALE/IDoc OUTBOUND processing, and which drives INBOUND?
For an interface that has to survive multiple SAP upgrades, why prefer a BAPI over calling the underlying SAP function module directly?
You need to replicate ONGOING master-data changes to another system automatically. Which of the three IDoc-creation paths fits, and which is the wrong tool?
In ALE, what is the communication partner actually a name for — and what bites you after a system or client copy if you treat it as a physical system?
SAP recommends collecting outbound IDocs rather than sending each immediately, and processing inbound IDocs during low load. What are you trading away by following this advice?
An IDoc reached the wrong receiver or stalled in the wrong status. Which of its three record parts do you read to diagnose routing, and why not the data records?
You filtered a batch of failed IDocs in WE05 (IDoc List) and now want to reprocess them. Can you trigger the resend from there, and which transaction actually reprocesses?
A large burst of inbound IDocs that must post in a strict order is arriving. Do you choose parallel or sequential dialog processing, and what does each cost you?
A migration plan assumes all IDoc interfaces must be retired on S/4HANA in favour of SAP Integration Suite. Is that correct?
