SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Solution Documentation: Solution Structure (Branches & Sites)

What is a 'solution' in 7.2 content management, and what's the best-practice number to use?

The sum of all the company's systems, applications, and processes — acting as the container for the versions of solution documentation (one of which is the production version).

Best practice: use just one solution, shared across business units/affiliates/regions as the single source of truth. (Exception: a service provider managing multiple independent customers can build one solution each.)

This is one card from the KnowCard library. The full way to learn it — spaced-repetition review, progress tracking, and AI explanations — lives in the KnowCard app. We’re in private beta now; iOS & Android are coming soon.
