SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Managing Security

How is the SAP Web Dispatcher configured for SolMan, and how does one support multiple backends?

The profile lives in /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile; one Web Dispatcher can serve multiple backends (route by subdomain — solman.*→SolMan, erp.*→ERP).

After editing the profile, restart with stopsap/startsap as <SID>adm. Key parameter wdisp/system_x (one per system, from 0: SID/NR/MSHOST/MSPORT/SRCSRV/SRCURL [required for Fiori]/SSL_ENCRYPT); use icm/HTTP/redirect_0 to redirect the root URL to the Fiori launchpad.

This is one card from the KnowCard library. The full way to learn it — spaced-repetition review, progress tracking, and AI explanations — lives in the KnowCard app. We’re in private beta now; iOS & Android are coming soon.
