SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Change Impact Analysis (TBOM/BPCA/SEA)

Why is a dynamic TBOM the most precise, yet can't be auto-generated?

Because it requires a user to really execute an executable in the managed system — a trace pulls back all objects used in that session (incl. same-system RFC/branch GUI procedures, RFCs to other systems, background jobs — one enhancement each).

Due to maintenance cost, it's usually built only for business-critical transactions. Viewable in Solution Documentation; operations include Rerecord/Create Enhancement/Show Content/Obsolescence Check/Create TBOM Recording Work Item.

This is one card from the KnowCard library. The full way to learn it — spaced-repetition review, progress tracking, and AI explanations — lives in the KnowCard app. We’re in private beta now; iOS & Android are coming soon.
