SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Change Request Management (ChaRM)

What does ChaRM provide, and what two things does it combine?

A framework/workflow/capabilities to manage landscape-wide change. It combines:

  • A governance body — guiding the change + release processes.
  • The technical mechanism — pushing physical transport requests from system to system.

Resource management, project planning, and release coordination are integrated out of the box; it's built on SAP CRM business transactions with a Web UI, is ITIL-conformant, and needs almost no config.

This is one card from the KnowCard library. The full way to learn it — spaced-repetition review, progress tracking, and AI explanations — lives in the KnowCard app. We’re in private beta now; iOS & Android are coming soon.
