What is a Transport of Copies (ToC), and how does it relate to the original transport?

It's a third transport-request type (besides customizing and workbench) — based on the objects in an original transport, released from DEV and imported to QAS (scheduled or manual).

During ToC release the original transport stays changeable and isn't released; the ToC is just a copy of the original.
