SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Change Request Management (ChaRM)

After deployment, what are the two options for a phase cycle, and when do you choose each?

  • Recycle — go back to the build phase. Recommended when the landscape is unchanged; reuses the same cycle, lowers maintenance.
  • Complete — when the landscape changed/reorganized; unfinished change docs that didn't reach go-live auto-decouple and reassign to a successor cycle.

When a cycle closes, the task list is reused (CTS project decoupled, change docs reassigned to a new CTS project when the new task list activates).

This is one card from the KnowCard library. The full way to learn it — spaced-repetition review, progress tracking, and AI explanations — lives in the KnowCard app. We’re in private beta now; iOS & Android are coming soon.
