SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Graphical Process Modeling & Best Practices

What do Document Types do in Solution Documentation, and where are they managed?

SolMan provides a full versioned document library, and you can attach docs to the business-process structure. Document types classify those docs (e.g. a functional-test document type + template for Test Management).

SAP provides copyable standard types/templates. Managed in Solution Administration → Document Type Administration; extra status values are added in SOLMAN_SETUP's Process Management guided process, step 5.4.

This is one card from the KnowCard library. The full way to learn it — spaced-repetition review, progress tracking, and AI explanations — lives in the KnowCard app. We’re in private beta now; iOS & Android are coming soon.
