SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Change Impact Analysis (TBOM/BPCA/SEA)

How do you generate TBOMs, and what must be true for semidynamic generation?

Static/semidynamic are bulk-generated in parallel (use RZ12's server group STATIC_TBOM to control resources).

Semidynamic needs UPL activated and retrieved from production — first run the BPCA self-check (SM_BPCA_SPRO_SLF_CHK). Generate with SM_BPCA_TB_GEN (Solution/Branch/Views + System Role + scope 'update obsolete + create missing'); branching level ≥3 recommended; TBOM generation is heavy — never on a production system.
