Why did SAP make Test Suite the default and start removing third-party tool integration?

Customer feedback that HP ALM / IBM Rational integration was hard to build (bidirectional sync, upgrading multiple systems).

Third-party tools still work but are being removed from the SAP portfolio → offered as a DBS service. Existing customers with maintenance contracts can continue (debug mode, no new enhancements, support ends 2020); others must buy a service or stop. SAP TAO 3.0 SP07 is compatible with 7.2.
