SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Downgrade Protection & CSOL
Why should you not change the per-check-type severity settings in the Downgrade Protection configuration?
The delivered settings are SAP best practice. Changing them risks landscape stability and consistency because the severities are calibrated to protect the system landscape from incompatible transports. The Downgrade System Configuration table (empty by default) is where you define systems that bypass checks or require custom responses — not a place to adjust standard severities.
