SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Downgrade Protection & CSOL

What are CSOL's three use cases?

  • Parallel releases — multiple releases share one change control landscape; the second developer touching the same object gets an error/warning.
  • Same cycle — an urgent change in a continual/phase cycle; triggered when a second developer changes an object locked by a prior urgent change.
  • Dual development systems — N/N+1 isolated dev systems targeting the same production (e.g. an acquisition-integration scenario).
