SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Downgrade Protection & CSOL

What are the five downgrade check types?

  • CSOL — central lock when an object is changed in a managed dev system.
  • Release check — CSOL check when saving an object to a transport (conflict cancels release).
  • Reassign check — on reassign/decouple (resequencing can cause downgrade).
  • Predecessor check — on import to QAS/PRD, checks for conflicting predecessor transports (import the predecessor first).
  • Imminent check — an actual downgrade about to happen; never ignore — restart the import.

This is one card from the KnowCard library. The full way to learn it — spaced-repetition review, progress tracking, and AI explanations — lives in the KnowCard app. We’re in private beta now; iOS & Android are coming soon.
