SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Downgrade Protection & CSOL

What's the difference between CSOL error mode and warning mode?

  • Warning mode — the developer can ignore a conflict and keep writing the object into the transport (more downgrade risk; relies on coordinating with the other transport's owner).
  • Error mode — a hard stop; the object can't be written.

The conflict message shows whether it's a hard error or warning, which transports are involved, and who owns them.
