SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Downgrade Protection & CSOL

How do you set up CSOL's RFC connection, and what must you avoid?

Create a type-S service-user RFC (e.g. <SID>_CSOL, assigned the SAP_SOLMANTMWCOL role).

Never use a trusted RFC (risk of reading global lock info from SolMan). Maintain the SOL_CONNECT entry in BCOS_CUST on the managed dev system.

This is one card from the KnowCard library. The full way to learn it — spaced-repetition review, progress tracking, and AI explanations — lives in the KnowCard app. We’re in private beta now; iOS & Android are coming soon.
