SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Business Process Operations

How is a BPI dashboard built, and what panel types and structure does it support?

A BPI dashboard is freely configurable with 1–6 panels in a grid layout. Chart types include bar, stacked, column, trend, pie, static, and dynamic rating table.

Build chain: analytical key figure instance → panel (for BPI, the recommended panel type is Dynamic Rating Table 2) → dashboard. Use a virtual characteristic for category/drilldown; parent/child panels plus a runtime filter enable drilldown. Dashboards are mobile-accessible via a specific URL.

This is one card from the KnowCard library. The full way to learn it — spaced-repetition review, progress tracking, and AI explanations — lives in the KnowCard app. We’re in private beta now; iOS & Android are coming soon.
