SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Transport Management (CTS/CTS+/cCTS)

What did the Harmonized RFC communication infrastructure change, and what were the benefits?

From 7.1, ChaRM transport's remote communication moved from 'RFC destination + TMS remote infrastructure' to RFC destination only (SAP Note 1384598).

Benefits: no named dialog user needed in the target system's client 000 (previously a security concern), and no domain link needed between the SolMan and managed-system domain controllers.
