SAP Solution Manager 7.2 · Downgrade Protection & CSOL

What's the difference between manual and automatic downgrade checks?

  • Manual (Perform Downgrade Check button) — scans all open + released transports = release check (open transports in dev) + import check (released transports in target). More thorough.
  • Automatic — fires a popup when a transport is released/imported/decoupled/reassigned, but only checks the transports involved at that moment.

This is one card from the KnowCard library. The full way to learn it — spaced-repetition review, progress tracking, and AI explanations — lives in the KnowCard app. We’re in private beta now; iOS & Android are coming soon.
